Damn Evansville won by 3 in a squeaker, they're so lucky...

Belmont is usually a pretty good team, but they are down this year.

Glad E-ville was able to keep winning against Marty's "save-my-job" schedule though.

For them to get a Top 100 RPI they would have to turn around their 2-6 start and go 14-7 or 15-6 against a even tougher schedule - they are what they are Mid-150 to 200 rpi team.

Completely agree. All that really matters though is that we won the game. I don't care if it was closer than it should be we won.

Tonight, they could demolish Belmont, in Nashville, by 20 plus. Afterwards, the comments would be, "Belmont is having an off year and are over rated". Or, win in a squeaker by 3 and the comments would be, "Evansville is so lucky".
My God, some in here have even turned the university's name of "Evansville", into a verb. i.e... "Getting Evansvilled"....
So, just praise all VALLEY teams until Jan.1
Then, you can start dividing the room.

go aces

I don't even think I've seen anyone here trash Evansville.

Making this kind of whiny comment because people here have a wait-and-see approach to a team with a sub-200 SOS (and only one win over a team with a winning record against D1 teams, and a 20-30 record overall) is pretty laughable.

If you don't want an intelligent discussion about basketball, and just want sunshine pumped up your ass, stick to your own forum. At this point I'm cautiously optimistic about Evansville, but still cognizant that they have one top 100 RPI win, have no remaining games against teams with much of a chance of finishing in the top 100 RPI, and are likely to only have four chances at facing top 100 RPI teams in conference. The win @Belmont was solid, though.
