MVC lands 2 players in top 100

Here's an article listing the top 100 D1 prospects in the country. Weems landed at #27 and McDermott at 66. The guy doing the ratings seems pretty knowledgeable. Impressive for both players. I predict Kyle will have a great senior year. He's measurably improved his game every year and there's no reason to think he can't do that again this year. I hope Doug has a good year too - as long as it's not at the expense of the Bears LOL.

If I was putting a team together I would make McD my first pick between the two players.

Both very good players but I'd take Weems any day. Who knows how much McDermott will develop but at this point Weems has a better all around game.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I would pick Weems for his off the court intangibles as much as what he is on the court, but Doug is great too.

Doug did something last year not done in 60 years. I think he'll develop just fine. I like the kid and his old man, but I'll never get over him not playing for UNI. I'd take Doug any day. I like the way he plays and especially the way he carries himself on the court.

Obviously you would choose Doug right now between the 2. He has 3 years left of playing, Weems with 1.

I would even say I would choose Doug if you look at them both after their freshmen years.

If you are choosing for just one season, I'd take Weems though. But again, Weems is older which helps a ton

Will be interesting to see where Doug ends up after 4 years

Good link. I noticed at number 100 is Pierre Jackson, JUCO transfer going to Baylor. He had his choices narrowed down to Creighton and Baylor, would have been nice to get this kid to back up Antoine or play the 2, an undersized 2 that is.
