Official 2011-12 MVCfans.com Prediction - 7th Place

Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2011-12 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9 (just in time for MVC media day).

Illinois State was selected as the 8th place finisher (results: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1311)

Week 3 - Who will finish in 7th place during the 2011-12 MVC mens basketball season?

After the last results, I'd expect D+ to win this one. They were my vote last time, and are again. I see SWOMO is trying to make a push here, but not sure they'll get there. D+ came in a very close 2nd for 8th place.

I do love the same WSU votes each week. I guess we're a pretty big thorn in some peoples' sides, so is life at the top..

I think a public poll would help cut down on the dummy votes, but I dunno if it's possible..?

Last week a wichita state fan suggested that it could in fact be a couple of shocker fans that were voting for WSU in these low spots.

So yes, maybe a public poll would be nice.

Without Van Deest Drake is the tempting choice here. But, I'll vote for EU as they lost 3 starters and Drake lost two, retaining more post experience. EU has played tougher than Drake the last couple of years, and if that continues EU will better them again. EU probably has the better coach IMHO, but I just couldn't talk myself out of the feeling Drake should be better. But it looks like the runaway choice will be Drake in 7th.

Pretty sure it is one of your guys...Been only one vote for WSU each week

I'm guessing ISASO or Fred Berkel. Its fits with their victimization personas.

Personally, I voted for MSU here. Even though they have arguably the best player in the league, losing four starters is going to cut pretty deeply.
