Official MVCfans 2011-12 Prediction - 4th Place

Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2011-12 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9 (just in time for MVC media day).

Northern Iowa was selected as the 5th place finisher (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1354)

I would think honest Sycamore voters will place ISU at 4th place since the Aces beat the Sycs 2.95 times last year

Yet INSU still finished three spots higher than UE. I'm voting UE.

Sort of in jest, I'm sure, but just to be sure...there are 16 other games on the schedule.

That said, it'll be close.

My thought exactly. UE lost 2 very discipline Centers last year. They accounted for5.6 rebounds and 12 points per game combined. Other than that the Aces bring the same matchup they did last year except they have additional heighth in the middle with altheticism.Last year's slogan was "Primed and Ready". UE is!

UE was only missing scoring and rebounding from the 4-5 hole and they have brought in two 6-8 and one 6-7 who can provide this power. They can provide scoring, rebounding, quickness, ability to run the floor and something other than 1 point and the flop. Add to that the top 3-pt shooter in Illinois and they have the mix to be the #3. Maybe they will and maybe they won't, but I gotta believe a lot of Valley coaches are worried about playing them this year. :duel:

Man, who woke up all the UE fans?

It's been a LONG time since Evansville has finished in the top 3 in the Valley, much less the top HALF of the Valley.

I'm gonna need a bit more than a 6th place finish and another quick tourney exit for me to see the "light".

I honestly can't believe they've made it this far..

We'll see what they're made of during their first couple of weeks.
