I guess we can put nominations here.

NoY: Carl Hall
1st team JuCo AA. Something like the #4 JuCo in the nation from scouting reports. If Hall is not the NoY, WSU is in for a long season. WSU needs a NoY performance from Hall.

FoY: ? Probably whoever wins Drake the Valley title
NoY: Carl Hall, by a mile
PoY: Weems or Murry, Possibly Odum, Doug or Kyles
CoY: HCGGGM or HCBJ or HCMCD
Our last five are still collectively better than your starting lineup.

FoY - Is tough as I'm not familiar enough with other schools and situations. I don't see a FR at WSU making that kind of impact this year. Austin Chatman has the tools to win that award if he'll get enough PT. CU fans would have to tell me if that may happen or not. Nic Moore sounds like a real possibilty at ISU.

NoY - Agree with Hall there. Not sure who else right now.

PoY - Lots of possibilities. Murry or Stutz at WSU. Kyles would be a wildcard. Dougie Fresh at CU. Even Ech and Young could be, but I think Doug will overshadow them. Weems has to be a candidate although I think he'll struggle some if the supporting cast doesn't step up. If UNI makes a run I could see Koch or James. If Evansville makes a run then Ryan. Carmicheal has the ability but doesn't seem to have enough help.

LOL....you're probably the same guy who voted for Phelps to win COY.

Drake does have a couple of redshirt freshmen who could be in the mix for FOY. Karl Madison is likely to be Drake's starting point guard, and Jeremy Jeffers should get plenty of minutes at the 2, 3, and possible even the 4 position.

Both were actually rated higher in high school than Rayvonte Rice was. Both redshirted last season, and I know I'm eager to see what they can do on the court.

I think Bear's will be in position to win a number of post season awards, partly because when you start the season picked in the middle, if you acheive beyond that you pick up alot of accolades for exceeding expectations. Weems is an obvious POY candidate, but I think Jarmar Gulley will really open up some eyes. He's a slightly bigger version of Ravonte Rice who is a matchup problem and can flat score. Bears have significantly more depth and experience than is assumed to help Weems.
