Hmmmmmmm.......SIU about to lose at home to DII Ohio Dominican. How far SIU has fallen.....atleast it won't effect Valley RPI.

SIU dampers the weekend.

Postby Heinro » November 12th, 2011, 9:07 pm

64-63 SIU loses to Ohio Domincan. Was 25-63 from the field, 1-10 from 3, had 21 turnovers.

Ugly :Bam:

At least this loss doesn't effect the leagues numbers.

Edit: I apologize for a 3rd separate thread. Seems we all 3 created them at the same time.

On the upside, Drake took care of business vs. their DII competition. And Seck put up 18 pts, 14 rebounds in SIU's losing effort.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, last time SIU lost to a DII school, Alaska-Anc, SIU won the Valley Tourney and went to the tourney. Maybe a sign of good things to come? Doubtful.

If Ohio Dominican is good enough to beat the Ugly Dawgs, then they're good enough for me to go watch tomorrow when they play Rodney Watson's Screamin' Eagles.

A loss to a D2 team, while embarrassing beyond belief, does not impact the RPI of the team or the league. So, there's your silver lining.

What a truly epic fall SIU has taken. If they were a band, a Behind the Music episode would be in the works.

Sad to see a great game by Seck wasted.

I miss our rivalry. Fire Lowery, get a good coach and get better....soon.

This is truly embarrassing for SIU.

The talent level between D1 and D2 is generally miles apart. Both MU and MSU played an exhibition charity game at Missouri Southern a short time ago. Southern is a VERY good D2 program (projected 6th nationally I think) - but I watched both games and it was truly amazing how both MSU and MU took them apart.

Sad. Sorry I don't mean to pile on SIU or their fans.
