2012 Battle 4 Atlantis

Looks like there is now official word on UNI's tournament for next year. Shouldn't be any really poor teams in that field. Might have to start saving now to make the trip.

It's actually NOT all a Valley team can ask for, unless the Valley team in question thinks of themselves that way.

Nevertheless, it is a fantastic field they've put together, and about 100 times better than the tourney UNI is in this year. Good for them.

and 1000x better than the Dale Howard Classic.....(btw, Dale Howard is a car dealorship in Iowa).

Dang... loaded tourney. You will get 3 quality opponents on a neutral court, not bad.

Andy Katz early pre-season poll for next year includes, from this Battle for Atlantis field alone:

2. Louisville
13. Memphis
15. Duke
22. VCU
25. Missouri
--And he listed Stanford as "on the cusp".

UNI will get 3 games in this tournament. If seeded by this year's RPI, we should get Louisville in the first game.
