Sun Times and the Trib

Can anyone explain why the two main Chicago papers basically refuse to cover Illinois State? We probably have the on of the three best football teams in the state and have just beaten a very good Drexel team on the road and not a sniff in teh sports sections.
ISu probably has just as many alum in Chicagoland than any other school and they get zero coverage. Very frustrating.

Any coverage in the Sun-Times or the Tribune would be wire stories, and I would be surprised if the B-N Pantagraph even puts Illinois State stories on the wire.

Our Illini neighbors to the east, and an out of state school (ND) get spotlite coverage in chicago, which makes it very frustrating about our two papers. Seriously doesn't the alumni associations in chicagoland have any clout, I'am sure there is an army of frustated chicagoland redbird fans. I wholeheartedly agree and I think something innovative should be done about it.
