it seems like the MVC has had quite a few "near miss" losses (i.e. Moral Victories) this season against teams that had we beaten, would have made the conference look better than it already does.
I'll start with Indiana State, we were down 19 to #25 New Mexico, came all the way back and tied it on the last play of the game, then got hammered in OT. ISU was 18-30 from the FT line, and 4-23 from 3 point range. Had ISU won this game it would have a been a huge win, but we get to chalk it up as a moral victory.
I know ILS had a near miss last night, well, actually I think it wound up being a rather "large miss" by the end of the game.
What were your teams' near misses?
