UNI did not play well, but luckily SIU is not a real good team right now.

Um they seemed to play like 9 guys had a couple that didn't play.

One of them got ejected for a flagrant foul. I did not see what happened, but they went to the monitor and ejected him for whatever he did. I am going to have to go back and watch the tape to see what exactly happened.

Kind of a bizarre event. Took me a while and hearing from someone to finally figure out what had happened. Just a weird game in general I felt like. UNI played well with the exception of turnovers. Ended up with 15 but they had to have at least 10 by halftime, just seemed sloppy early on and SIU was picking their pockets without much trouble. Panthers shot the ball well again which was a real concern early on in the season and start of conference play, but 49% overall and 53% from 3. 10-16 FT's was probably the most concerning part of shooting tonight. Otherwise Sonnen looks confident and strong, James is playing like his old self, Bohannon is starting to shoot like his namesake, Tuttle is hardly ever a concern and Koch had 5 turnovers but at least he is playing aggressively and is playing really good basketball on both ends of the court. Deon Mitchell was the only one who looked off tonight. He was not his aggressive self and did not play a ton of minutes tonight. Only 4 pts in 21 minutes and had 3 fouls. Just seemed out of rhythm after having a strong last few games. Maybe the smaller scrappy SIU lineup frustrated him. UNI's defense is starting to shore up as well and hopefully this can spark some confidence as the Panthers have some big games coming up in Indiana.

It's very very tough to see on the TV broadcast. It happened as UNI was brining the ball up the court, Jake was going to the elbow of the FT line and all you see from the right hand edge of the screen was Jake cringing in pain....watched it in slow mo on my tivo to figure out what exactly happened - as it was never explained on the TV broadcast - looked more like a knee to the junk to me.

I sit right behind where they have the monitor. It was a deliberate elbow to the junk. He waited until Jake looked away a bit and then just nailed him.

All the respect in the world for Barry though, he was visibly pissed at him and made absolutely no argument with Pollard...

Hinson has now suspended Early for the CU game. Must have been a pretty nasty elbow.
