Bradley to A10?

Postby ihsi » April 18th, 2013, 9:53 am

I've heard a couple of mentions that the A10 might continue to add schools to offset the losses they have had and to preemptively add schools before possibly losing SLU and Dayton. I have also heard anecdotal comments that Bradley would be a possible school they might look at.

I wonder of Bradley would have any interest in joining the A10 if it were an option?

If Bradley were to move campus east of the Appalachian mountains it would be a possibility.

For us basketball schools, this might as well be the No Better Option Conference.

Let's say SLU and Dayton were stuck in the A10 rather than eventually moving to the Big East? I'd think that league would appeal to Bradley and vice versa.

If SLU and Dayton stay it becomes more of a possibility, still highly doubtful. Chirping out of the A10 is that Sienna could be next addition. That alone should tell you the direction they are heading in realignment.

Do any schools in the A-10 currently field Division 1-A football teams? My initial impression on what the new Big East has done by eliminating any association with schools with such football programs, may be a smart move. If the A-10 is similar, it might be a good conference for schools like Bradley or Wichita State if the geographic footprint of that conference makes sense. I do think the possible departure of SLU or Dayton would be a concern. I understood they both wanted in the new Big East but have no idea if that conference has expansion plans.

If SLU and Dayton can't get into the Big East, I think Wichita State and Bradley would be the options to give them regional partners.

If they do go to the Big East, never would happen.

Why do people post things on this board to make it sound like the Valley is falling apart? There is no basis for this thread.

But there is absolutely no basis for the thread. It's just nonsense from some Creighton fan hoping the Valley will fall apart.
