All-Time MVC Elite MBB Teams

It is August, so with little current doings to contemplate in the way of MVC basketball, how bout a look at some conference history, just for the heck of it.
Here is a compilation of each MVC team that has made it to the NCAA Elite Eight or further:

Creighton ('41)
Oklahoma A&M - now State ('45 and most years thereafter through '54)
Bradley ('50)
St. Louis ('52)
Cincinnati ('59 through '63)
Wichita State ('64, '65, '81, '13)
Drake ('69 through '71)
Louisville ('72, '75)
Memphis ('73)
Indiana State ('79)

Lots of other good teams that made it to the Sweet 16, or even won the NIT (Bradley, Tulsa, WSU, others?) And when Bradley was winning the NIT I think it was essentially as good as the NCAA tournament.
But I believe these are the only NCAA Elite MVC teams.
So dominant from the 40's through the 70's.
Time to add some more legacy, right?

I know we weren't a part of the league, but Loyola won it all in '63, made it to the Sweet 16 in '64 and '85.

Bradley had a Title Game and Elite Eight in '54 and '55 respectively, but they were an independent, having left the Valley briefly in protest over the Johnny Bright incident.

The 1960 Bradley team won the NIT and finished 4th in the AP Poll.

Evansville's 64-65 team that went undefeated. They had Jerry Sloan and Larry Humes. Beat good teams in Iowa and Norte Dame.

The Bears won back to back titles in NAIA in 1952 and 1953. They beat ISUBlue en route both times. Also the Bears had four national runner-up finishes in Division II between 1959 and 1974.

If we're talking bout NAIA and "college-division" success, then I think it's open game for Shocker fans to mention the 1927 team that placed 3rd in the AAU tournament, which included both college and professional teams. That gives WSU 3 F4 finishes in their history, and all were at the highest level of competition in college ball. Ross McBurney was a first-team AA on that 1927 team.

Then there was the 1983 team that was top 5 in the polls through about all the season. Spent a lot of time switching between #1 and #2. The 1983 team featured Anotoine Carr and Xavier McDaniel. I doubt any MVC team has ever had any 2 players on the roster at the same time who could match what Carr and McDaniel put on the court.
