The MVC ranked 8th in average attendance among Division I conferences last year. We are in for a huge drop next year with Creighton gone and Loyola in.

As a UNI fan, that number behind our name is embarrassing...

I'd rather quote his son -

"Please don't lock me up!"

On a serious note though, when was the last time Bradley's attendance was so low? That figure seems so out of whack with what we've come to expect.

Here you go. Capacity with percentage of capacity calculated:

Creighton (17,155) [17,560; 97.7%]
Wichita State (10,312) [10,506; 98.2%]
Bradley (6,557) [11,433; 57.4%]
Illinois State (6,541) [10,200; 64.1%]
Missouri State (6,080) [11,000; 55.3%]
Indiana State (5,726) [10,200; 56.1%]
Southern Illinois (5,007) [8,339; 60.0%]
Evansville (4,463) [10,000; 44.6%]
Northern Iowa (4,249) [6,650; 63.9%]
Drake (3,926) [7,002; 56.1%]

Loyola (2,278) [4,486; 50.8%]

Bad, bad numbers.

Bradley's 2012-13 average attendance was the lowest during the 17 years that the MVC membership was the same (1996-97 through 2012-13). From the 1996-97 season through the 2009-10 season (14 years) Bradley averaged over 9,000 people per game each year and averaged over 10,000 per game in 1999-00. In 2010-11, the average fell to 8,447 and then to 7,640 during the 2011-12 season. Last season, it, again, went lower to 6,557.
