Redbirds open vs VCU

It's going to be a very interesting year for the Birds. I'm hoping that the Birds can pull an upset, but with the Havoc of VCU can't see it happening...

And in the least surprising coaching move of all time, Daishon Knight has been reinstated just in time to not miss a game.

Took a plea bargain to a misdemeanor. Edit: Oops - actually 2 misdemeanors.

ISUR Knight guilty of hitting girl

Postby mvcfan » November 7th, 2013, 10:24 pm

I thought that ISUR fans reported that the charges on Knight were going to be dropped. Instead, it reads that he admitted guilt to the charge of hitting a girl. It's a good thing that his suspension is lifted before their first game of the year against a ranked team. If we are honest, there are no teams that are immune to bad player behavior. It could happen to any of our teams. Kids are not perfect. But from afar, Knight's suspension being lifted because of his good behavior just in time for the start of the season doesn't look good.

Was cool seeing ISUr on the FS1 ticker while I was watching Baylor tonight. I wonder if they made it to the ESPN ticker also.

This is the first time I've seen ISUr on national TV since they lost a game by kicking someone in the face.

The ISU program is unreal. I use to have a hell of a lot of respect for them and this new coaching staff has turned a very respectable program into a complete train wreck. What a freaking joke that this kid is playing without missing a single game.

Looks like the birds are 20 1/2 point dogs for tonights game at VCU. That seems like a lot.

That's terrible. I know Bradley has had its share of legal problems, but to not suspend him from a single game after punching a girl and resisting arrest is crazy. I glanced over at the ISU Red board and some are suggesting she had it coming because she tried to take his necklace. Good lord.

It's a bad precedent to set and it's a big distraction for this game at least. I'll be surprised if the Jailbirds keep within 20.
