Chi State @ Bradley - 11/15

Postby ptownbraves » November 15th, 2013, 7:26 am

Chicago State travels to Peoria to take on Bradley. The Braves are looking to start off the season 4-0 in non-conference play. Chi State's best win so far came over Jacksonville State, which BU also defeated this year. Bradley will be without Forward Jordan Prosser due to his 4-game suspension, but Bradley should be able to handle Chi State without too much drama.

Lets Hope!

A lot of games played in a short amount of days.

Hopefully it looks like a practice, With BU doing whatever we want.

If Bradley doesn't win by 20+, probably 25+, I'll be disappointed.

I doubt it will be a 20+ game. As Bradleyfan1 mentioned, this will be BU's 4th game in 8 days and they are traveling to Champaign tomorrow to take on Illinois. I think Geno will be looking to rest the starters if a decent lead opens up.

Didn't look at that kind of start to the schedule...I can understand that.

With that said, CSU is real bad

I wasn't worried about it being a close game yesterday, but after reading up on CSU I am. They won their conference tournament last year (Great West, which somehow didn't have an NCAA bid but sent them to the CIT), although even then they had a losing record. And they beat Jacksonville State by just slightly less than BU did. I'm still counting on BU getting the margin to 20+ points so we can empty the bench later on and be well conditioned for the big Sunday trip to Champaign. I want the second half to be the Nate Wells show!

This is not the Chicago St of yesteryear. I expect BU to win by double-digits, but this is a Chicago St program that's actually run like a basketball program and can compete at the DI level. If BU won by 20+ I would be ecstatic. 10-15 seems more realistic. As Miko said, it would be great if the last 5 minutes involved a lot of Nate Wells and the walk-ons.

Is there anything that indicates this is true? They're still projected to have an RPI of around 300.

This was a serious trap-game possibility (and still is). But so far BU up 27-12.

Despite two quick fouls for lemon and bell, Bradley off to great start, up 27-12 with 12 left in 1st half.
