Over Analysis

Postby KC MVC FAN » January 7th, 2014, 12:45 pm

One thing about this forum---it certainly is over thought. Basketball used to be a great game to play and to watch. Forget playing, now the spectator has to be an analyst so he can decide which team to watch or support. In that vein doubt that many on this forum actually played the game. It seems that several posters are always trolling and on alert to new posts so they can immediately attack/argue/refute someone. Plus, many must think they have a future in SPORTS RADIO TRALK or sports journalism. Way back in Econ 100 I learned that liars figure and figures lie---i.e., opposite sides of an issue can be proved or disproved with the same set of data/facts/figures/numbers. Numbers everywhere: RPI, SOS, KGB, CIA, USO.

Forget it--just enjoy the game as a game!!!!.

My Econ classes were more about supply and demand curves and charts, inversions....

Why are you here? Forums like this are to analyze teams and the conference

LOL, if you are going to try and insult somebody please come up with some original material, and if you are going to plagiarize you ought to at least get it right.

So why didn't you answer my question? Or are you butt-hurt that you get pwned every time you open your mouth?

Yup. If that's what you got out of Econ, I'd ask for my money back. That's not what economics is. I'm assuming Econ 100 was a high school class? I've taken dozens of Econ classes, and never had one by that name, and certainly never had one that taught anything along the lines of "figures lie."

If you don't like people analyzing basketball games then you probably shouldn't be on a basketball message board.

I have no idea what your post means. It seems like pure babble.

Probably not (should be on this forum). I watch the game for the satisfaction of seeing the game, the crowd, the cheerleaders (just the girls), and listen to the pep band. Friday nights are HS BB (without a doubt the best level of BB to watch). Saturdays are either go to a college game or watch a college BB game or 2 or 3 on TV. Don't have to spew a bunch of stats: RPI, SOS, bracketology, etc. Don't think any of the stats, ratings, rankings, etc. I see on here are developed by the "EXPERTS on this forum; all are plagiarized from someone else and then presented as original work. Relax, get a soda pop and a box of popcorn (now I am dating myself--when was the last time you could buy a box, a small box of popcorn), grab a seat and sit back and enjoy the game.
