Oh c'mon, don't act like you haven't seen worse on Saluki Nation. Don't you guys remember what it was like to not have your season ruined before Thanksgiving?

I'm sorry, that was uncalled for.

good point, i can see why they are upset, we probably just ruined your chances for a bid in a good tournament considering how bad our rpi is

The bright side here is that the bloom is probably off of Jake's rose. Not sure how many suitors he'll have in coming years based on recent success or lack thereof.

I don't normally go to Panther Nation simply because of crap like this. I went just to check it out today. It is funny that now some of the fans are comparing Jake to Lowery. That in itself if crazy enough. I get they aren't happy without being in the big dance since 2010, but let's be honest he hasn't exactly put us in the depths of hell that Lowery did to SIU. I also have a hard time with some of the fans saying we only have role players. Apparently Tuttle and Mitchell aren't any good they are just good role players. Asinine to argue with idiots. I am not happy about the loss last night. No Panther fan should be, but it certainly is not the end of the world. This is a young Panther team and things like this happen. I do think Jake needs to do something pretty soon, but his welcome is far from worn out. If we do not see much improvement next year though we might want to start worrying about what is going on.

Valley road is tough...That has been proven countless times. Ask WSU fans how it went for them in Carbondale last year? Yes, this was a bad loss, but the season is far from over for the Panthers.

Agreed and after WSU loses one in the Valley (and it will happen). There will be people on Shockernet ready to jump off a cliff.

I'll jump, too, but it will probably be off a curb.

The fact that some believe that this ruined EVERYTHING is almost comical. So we went from discussing "how high can we get our RPI and have a shot at an at-large?" (Unlikely, but still worthy of discussion) to " seasons over Jacobson is terrible for this program" is just silly. This team is still perfectly capable of putting everything together and finishing 2nd in the league and making a solid run at an NIT at-large, since they aren't likely to run the table and I'll hold my breath on winning it all in STL. There is plenty of entertaining basketball to be had.

I would say for 9 of 10 teams this is true!
