Winner probably has the inside track to the 3 seed in St Louis.

If UNI plays defense like they did Wednesday night, they'll get it done.

Discuss.

Panthers fall back again, can't win in the road. This should all but wrap up third for the hobbled bears.

I have no doubt uni will play well enough to win. Whether or not they can finally finish a game on the road is completely different story. Will they finally break this curse we will see.

How healthy are the bears right now? Buss and the Panthers should be at full strength.

Recent history predicts Panthers lose on the road.

Bears will be without Marshall, and Pickens, Mvouika, and Tmac are all questionable.

Goodness, that's crazy. I feel a bit better about the Panthers chances now, even if it is on the road. I hope all of those guys get back to health quick but I'd be lying if I said I'm disappointed that I may not see Ron Mvouika shoot out of his mind again on Saturday.

It's a home game for the bears and it would be an inexainble loss to an inferior team in UNI comes in and wins tomorrow. The Bears have played short most of the season and it took the shocks overtime to get the win in SGF. I doubt the panthers are capable of pulling the upset.

I think this is going to be a heck of game. UNI has been very good in Springfield for whatever reason over the last several years, but they haven't been good away from home this year, and Bears have been tough at home (12-1 with only loss in OT to WSU)...I expect a Bears W, but with UNI that can't be assumed. I agree that this very much could decide 3rd though. A win puts Bears up 2 games on UNI with 4 to play. One of BU/ILS would also fall 2 back and SIU likely to fall 2 back as well...A win for UNI and they would have tie-breaker over Bears via sweep, and over most others via SOS. Big game, glad it's on national TV!

My prediction for the game. UNI plays really well for the first half. In the second half they go through a stretch where they can't make a shot and can't play any defense. MSU takes a double digit lead. UNI fights back in the end to make it close, but ultimately loses it. Just like every other road MVC game this year with the exception of Evansville.

Go Panthers!
