New Loyola AD

A source close to the process says that Loyola's new AD will be Steve Watson, who has held the same position at St. Bonaventure for the past eight years. Here's his St. Bonaventure bio:

Congrats to Loyola on filling that vacancy! Hopefully he leads the Ramblers in a good direction.

Might be a good hire. I know I was really impressed with St. Bonaventure's team in the NCAA tournament a few years back.

They had a great five year run until last year. I would have to think he deserves some of the credit for that run.

He's been at Bona since 2007.

He hired Mark Schmidt, so yes. While the women's coach was hired in 2001, he didn't have a winning season until his 7th year.

Starting in 2006-07 the women's team won 16, 18, 23, 23, 21, 31, 10 and 24. So without knowing if there were funding and infrastructure improvements, it's hard to say whether or not he gets credit for that, other than not firing Crowley.

But the 2012 men's and women's dual championships I believe are their only league titles during his tenure.
