Gus Johnson vs. Female announcers

I was watching a game the other night and Doris Burke was doing color. No disrespect to Ms. Burke as she does a competent job and is obviously thought highly enough of to have a nice gig with ESPN, but I have a bit of difficulty listening to female play by play and color analysts doing mens college basketball games. It got me to thinking about my favorite play by play guy - Gus Johnson. For those of you who've never been to the site below, I could spend an hour just listening to Gus scream. Check it out:

Gus is one of, if not the best in the business. My two personal favorites are his Farokhmanesh and Jacksonville Jags calls.

When I first heard about this site a year ago, I showed it to my five year old son and he played on it for seemingly forever. His favorite: "I get buckets!" He must have played that about 100 times.

Gus got let go by the Knicks. Maybe the MVC could get him to do our games. Does anyone know if Spoon will be on this year?

Yeah, female announcers just do not cut it, no matter how hard they try to get the lingo down.
You want to feel, at the least, that the announcer may have, in their earlier years, played Div-1 ball, and actually know what they are talking about.
