Illinois State nabs huge commitment with Abdou Ndiaye and looks to be one of the deepest Valley squads in recent memory.

But holy hell how do they fit this in 13 scholarships?!

SR Yarbrough
SR Fayne
SR Evans
SR Tinsley
JR Copeland
JR Romine
JR Jefferson
JR Williams
JR Hein
SO Chastain
SO Bruninga
SO Clarance
SO Gassman
FR Ndiaye
FR Idowu
TR Boyd
TR Hillsman

What’s the depth chart?

Redshirt Bruninga, Clarance, & Gassman to load up with Ndiaye and Idowu in ‘22?

Does Matt Hein make ISUr’s 3rd team?

A lot of speculation here but it will all work out.

What’s the depth chart?
Starters should be 4 Seniors plus Copeland. Bench TBD

Not a chance. Birds already will have 3 players sitting out next season.

Does Matt Hein make ISUr’s 3rd team?
No...and he knows that!

Missed one too. I don't see Demontay Dixon on your list.

18 guys for 13 rides. Bold strategy and totally not screwing anybody over.

Muller Math will work itself out here.

Guessing we lose Madison Williams and Christian Romine in the next week or two, which drops us to 15. Then guessing Gassman and Chastain play without a scholarship

Yes. Dixon decommitted. Also added Preferred Walk-On, Ilijah Donnelly from UIS Obviously, he does not factor in to the scholarship situation but it is clear Muller did not like practicing with 8 players at times last season.

Dixon wasn't a total surprise due to the guy who recruited him at ETSU and ILST is now HC at Tennessee State. I'd be very surprised if Dixon doesn't end up there.

The scholarship situation is very confusing over in Redbird land. At this time, if things stay exactly where they are (they won't) the Redbirds will have 19 players in practice every week.

Since Muller got the job, he has had at least 3-4 transfers per year. I think he over recruited for that point, but then some players he thought would leave, didn't. So now decisions have to be made. The good thing about coach Muller is that he is incredibly smart. He was a Bone Scholar at ISU, which is the highest academic honor one can receive. I think he's taking a page out of the Joker's play book. "It's all a part of the plan."

Some guys may be relegated to walk-on status, some may be cut, but I trust the guy.

The best part about all of this is our latest recruit chose us over Wichita.

Of course, watching their fans reaction and backpedal as hard as they did on the kid made me chuckle.

The Wichita fan base reaction on the facebook post with the announcement was every bit as classless as their coach.

Post angry I guess...

But I thought their program and players were ABOVE the MVC?

The Shocker program is taking a step back. The full tumble isn't further down the road...
