Will Alize Johnson Get Drafted?

Most mock drafts I've seen have him going somewhere in the latter portion of the second round, but this article says it's no lock. What does MVC Nation think? Please read the article before answering because it raises several good points on both sides. (Side note: Does anyone know how to add a poll?)

Getting drafted late 2nd might not be advantageous.

Ron Baker went undrafted and played 52 games x 16 minutes.
Fred van Vleet went undrafted and played 37 x 8.

20 nba people were present when he played at Loyola. Ofc he hardly touched the ball.

Not lining up first or second behind the cryotherapy tub might’ve saved his career.

His athleticism is awful. His intangibles are awesome. He shines in every contest where he competes with anyone besides himself. I suspect he goes undrafted but gets some pretty nice offers as a free agent.

Alize Johnson not listed in the top 60 of this meta-analysis of 27 draft boards. Interestingly former Wichita State Shocker Landry Shamet checks in as a likely late first round pick at 28 one ahead of Villanova's Dante DiVincenzo. I wonder what effect the move to the AAC had on his draft stock. I'm guessing it was positive. He really stepped up against the tougher competition. Compare his numbers over the past two years, it's no comparison even when you factor in the increase in playing time.

I don't take anything while AJ played under Lusk into account.

You don't just get rid of his summer last year and the effect of his workouts this year.

I think he goes higher than we think, but, of course, that's with maroon colored glasses on.

I could see him going late 2nd round. Imagine the warriors buying into the second round and grabbing Alize Johnson late like they did with Jordan Bell. He's got such a versatile skillset that teams are craving at the next level. Also found a cool video of him working out with Shamet and lottery pick Lonnie Walker. Wish him the best.

Not surprised he got drafted that high. I don't really see a downside to his abilities.
