Hurts but not as much for next season as he was the 7th guy on this team. They'll overcome.

As Redbird fans we are used to roster turnover. This does suck but it doesn't suck as bad as when a kid decides to go to another school.

Best of luck to Elijah. He had an amazing summer in the U20 Euro Tournament. He'll have a successful pro career.

Hilarious how redbird fans say on their board ah he was a 6th or 7th man and then at the same time say he will be big time overseas or a 2020 draft pick. Which is it guys? This birds team should compete for the league title, but let's not act like there are multiple NBA guys on the roster.

Read that Jsnhbe1Birds says he’ll be a 1st round pick. Huge loss for ISU. They should be fine next year but getting your school’s name called on draft day is invaluable.

1. Evans is the starter. Clarence is 6th/7th.
2. He was runner-up MVP in FIBA U-20 tournament for Sweden this month. Several NBA players have been MVP of that tournament. I firmly believe in a couple of seasons he will be scoring near 20 PPG overseas and be a first round pick come 2020. Act like I said on the other board immediately. Never said that. Always said 2020 even on the other board.

Context.

6th or 7th man as a sophomore on a loaded MVC team with talented juniors and seniors ahead of him.

Overseas ball is pretty weak, so success over there isn't TOO difficult.

Relax bro.

2019-2020 would have been Elijah's year at ISU. He would have been 7th or 8th on this year's team. He did play very well overseas but still has a lot of developing to do. On his team, there was one other D1 player, in the rest of the tournament there might have been 10.

He has the tools to become a draft pick because the primary thing he has working for him is age. He just turned 20. So if he plays a year or two overseas and develops a jump shot and buys in to defense, the draft is not outside the realm of possibility. To think he'll be a first round pick in 2020....when HS players will likely be able to get drafted....that could be a reach. I'd be surprised if anyone other than 18-20 year olds go in the first round by then.

He had the chance to dominate the MVC starting next year, (2019-20) and could have developed greatly under Chris Duhon. It's an interesting decision to make, but I can't fault him for it. He has to do what's right for him.

Best of luck to him.

So what does ISUr do with his scholarship also is N'Diaye going to be eligible this year? I remember there were some concerns about his eligibility.
