Elijah clarance played for Sweden and was runner up MVP to his u-20 European tournament that has spawned several NBA talent and everyone poo poo that so why would you think this would get anyone to care? Mali and Canada? Please.

Nobody poo-pood Clarence's performance. As I recall many fans were interested and thought he was very good despite his clear need for further development. Everyone thought he'd be a meaningful contributor for the Redbirds this year before he went pro. All we asked was that you slow the hype train a little before anointing him as a superstar or future first round pick. Who was the last first round pick out of the MVC anyway? (Shamet doesn't count)

Not necessarily from the same ISU poster, but I remember in one post Clarence was said to be only the 7th or 8th best ISU player, but then in another that he would "dominate" the Valley . So yeah I don't think he was "poo-pood" so much as just not being universally anointed after a rather pedestrian freshman season. I think he has great potential, but who really cares now; he ain't here.

If he's at SIU he would be a back-up insurance policy if Bol does not completely recover--NO ONE ever said he was a First round anything--he's only a true freshman

People didn’t poo-poo his performance. People were appalled you anointed him an NBA 1st Rounder.
