Has anyone seen their team play yet besides Loyola?

Ramblers played DII Winona State on Tuesday. The starting five, sans newcomer Aher Uguak, were removed from the game about five minutes into the second half.

First off the bench were junior guard Bruno Skokna and freshman center Frank Agunanne. For most fans at Ramblermania, the big takeaway was the strength of the freshman class. Agunanne and guards Isaiah Budjoso and Cooper Kaifes all appeared physically ready to play and did some nice things. Budjoso had several steals and deflections and Kaifes was, I think, 4/5 from three with a quick release and nice stroke.

I'm not sure if anyone here still cares about Creighton, but Winona's coach, Todd Eisner, and Porter Moser were teammates at Creighton. Before the game, they honored their coach, Tony Barone, who lives in Chicago.

The Redbirds have two exhibitions....

10/30 vs Lewis
11/3 vs D3 Augustana

Exhibitions are good to get the teams with new players used to playing together in an actual game, but I would almost prefer to do a closed scrimmage against a good team. What questions will be answered against Auggie? Selfishly, as a season ticket holder, I appreciate the exhibitions as another opportunity to see the team play. Its hard to find other benefits than the one I previously mentioned.

Muller typically does a closed scrimmage, exhibition, and a game against a non-d1. This season is 2 exhibitions and the non-d1 game.

I sure remember games when Dick Versace and Tony Barone would come to town, some real barnburners.
Remember him later at Creighton.

Bradley has their 1 exhibition a week from tonight, Nov 1st vs. Carroll University.

Bradley had a closed scrimmage against Northern Kentucky last Saturday and supposedly things went well for Bradley.

All D2/D3 exhibitions aren't like the others. Auggie is preseason #3 in the D3 top 25. ISU will get tested some in that game. It's a much better opponent than Carroll College - who Bradley plays. Auggie and Carroll are in the same conference but not the same league--if you get my drift.

Lewis is usually pretty good, too.

It's rumored that Valpo plays UIC on Saturday in a closed door scrimmage.

They play the University of Indianapolis on November 1st.

Bears have closed scrimmage vs Ball State I think this weekend; play their only exhibition against local Evangel this coming Tuesday. Open at home vs Oral Roberts on 11/6
The Bear is the largest carnivore on the North American continent; beware the Bear!
