That poll means nothing but was created by folks who think they know everything. I get that SIU had some injuries but seriously? a 28 point home loss? Come on Barry!

Murray turned SIU every way but loose. Not looking forward to playing them at their place. They could very well win the MVC. Their #12 will be a very good pro player.

Morant is a projected lottery pick and we're morons for not going to 11 and getting him to the MVC by not cashing in the winning lottery ticket that is Murray State. I just hope they still want to come here if and when we finally ask.

I don't know about morons, but they fit the profile of the league pretty well. I just think the powers that be were hesitant to go with an odd number of teams. Elgin loves the double round-robin schedule, it will be hard for him to see anything but that. That being said, with how other leagues are scheduling in the future, we may have 12 teams and still have to do round-robin scheduling.

They could have still had the double round robin at 11\20 with Murray State.

Everyone is making way too much out of Barry gettin smashed. It always happens. The Bears just played AT Murray and it was a decent game.

To be fair they have won their last 4 against the MVC with a good chance to make it 5 and 3 of those wins have been against actual or projected top 3 teams in the MVC. Granted it is possible that Ja Morant is their Alec Peters and that they might struggle with the transition to the MVC as we have as they search for their next go to star. It doesn't mean they shouldn't be added but it does mean that there's a chance that they won't immediately solve all of our problems.

The thing is that no matter how good a team is, they won't solve the Valley's problems. If they are as good next year as they are this year, they get the Valley's one bid. We could have added Valpo back when Wichita State was still in the league, Valpo wouldn't have been getting at large bids despite having Alec Peters on the team. The problem is perception amongst the selection committee, and unfair scheduling practices. I am not opposed to having Murray join the Valley. Any time you can add a quality team to the conference, I say do it. Just don't look for that to move us back to a multi-bid league.
