I like to use BPI for the ease of making historical comparisons. The BPI for Loyola is 116. That looks like an NIT 7 seed with a very small chance of rising (being pushed up by multiple auto-bid upsets) to 6.

If Belmont does not make the NCAA (they should) then I see them no lower than an NIT 2 seed.

History might suggest Murray to be an 11?

NKU minutes from a blowout to go back to the NCAA tourney. The two teams people seem to want for the MVC are in the tournament...

I'm gonna be ticked if Belmont doesn't get an at-large. I only give it a 50/50 that they actually do get it, but they definitely deserve to be in the tournament.

Sadly, we have too many boat anchors in the OVC and that's what will do them in. And old Byrd isn't really trying to make a case anyway. I do expect them to be a final four NIT team.

Indiana plays Ohio State today in the Big Ten tournament. Prevailing wisdom is that the winner likely gets into the tournament while the loser misses out. I'm hoping Belmont can be one of the last four in, replacing whichever one of those teams loses.

This is a joke! Both Indiana & Ohio State were 8-12 in the big (whatever-it-is). If Indiana wins today and does not win this Sunday, they will end the season with 16 losses. They only reason they expanded the NCAA Tournament from 64 teams to 68 teams was to allow more below .500 power5 conference teams in to get a bigger piece of the pie$$$

I'm not saying that's how it should work - I'm saying that's how it does work. Now that Ohio State has beat Indiana, I will almost guarantee you that Ohio State will be in the tournament as a last four in regardless of what they do tomorrow, while Indiana is definitely not in the tournament.
