UNI is not considered a bubble team because they have the MVC auto bid.

ESPN includes autobids on Bubble Watch. Michigan St, Gonzaga, San Diego St, Dayton, etc.

No - we won't have that until (and IF) we win at the Arch.

The ISUr and SIU losses hurt. The SIU one is interesting. Mullins is doing great, but understandably didn't have his team ready for the OOC. SIU is at this point not-a-bad-loss. But mathematically they're 141 NET. Sad we lost that one.

I think that if we lose another MVC Conference game, hopes of an At-Large are gone. And if we win out, we'll be a solid bubble team heading into Arch Madness. But that's IF. Must win first. Still have several challenging games...

If Valpo beats UNI it will be the most uneasy conflicting win we've had since we joined the MVC for me. On one hand hooray we beat UNI and increased our chances of avoiding Thursday significantly. On the other hand we effectively killed any chance at the two bid Valley.

Yeah, wish people would consider the SIU loss away not a bad loss.. Because it isn't. Like you said of course they struggled in the non conference... Also they currently have one home loss and that was to a San Fran team that took Gonzaga to the wire the other night. I think it would really enhance the valleys chances at 2 teams in SIU continues to climb so that loss does not look bad at all by the end of the year.

If SIU can finish 5-3 or 6-2 down the stretch that will soften that blow for UNI.

Outside of the UNI game (which would hurt UNI if they won obviously), all of SIU’s games are winnable. There’s a decent chance they could finish low 90’s or high 100’s in KenPom. I think the committee won’t see that as a bad loss when it’s all said and done.

Maybe its the pessimist in me... Maybe its that we have been burned in SO ILL for so long when we start to get hope... Not sure... I won't believe we see this thing to the finish line until its to the finish line if you know what I mean. I agree, they are all winnable but I wouldn't write any W's in permanent marker either.

I am and will continue to be optimistic.

1. One game at a time.
2. Clinch a Top 6 seed (no Thursday night game).
3. Take care of business at the Arena, er, I mean Banterra Center.
4. Stock up on maroon boxer shorts for Arch Madness. (good luck charm).
5. Pray I don't get bed bugs at the roach hotel I booked on Priceline.com for Arch Madness.

Looking forward to St Louis. Would love to meet some of the folks on this board. I'll be there Thursday. Let me know!
