Who ever wins the 3 point battle will win this game. Hopefully weather is better than last year.
Here is to keeping the string going!

You do realize that Creighton won in Omaha last year, right?

Also, I expect Drake to win the three point battle. We are not a good 3 point shooting team. We will try to dominate inside or off of dribble penetration and rebound the hell out of the ball. If we are settling for threes that doesn't bode well for Creighton's chances.

BTW, weather forecast is COLD, COLD, COLD. It is possible that temperatures could be subzero at tipoff and they will certainly be subzero at the game's conclusion.

I can't speak for Musiccity, but I think the "string" he was talking about was Drake's winning streak, modest as it might be.

I did mean the current Bulldog team winning streak. I should have been more clear. You are right CU won by 4 last year in Omaha and the Bulldogs won in Des Moines by 5. It is a game I always look forward to.

After an early 19-11 Drake lead, CU leads at the half 33-26.

Drake's starting point guard and second string point guard both picked up 2 fouls in the first 7-8 minutes of the game. Echenique played about 30 seconds before picking up his 2nd foul. CU living at the free throw line, and Bulldogs in serious foul trouble.

Jays up 33-26 at halftime. Not bad given the Jay's were sleep walking for the first 10 minutes and Drake went up 8 and that Echenique only played 2 minutes because of 2 quick fouls.

Sounds like CU fans were unhappy when CU held the ball for the last 30 seconds....I'm guessing the fans get something when CU score 75?
