COLLEGE SPORTS MADNESS TOP 144

CSM doing there annual top 144 predictions. A little surprising so far, looks like the MVC will have 5 teams in as Evansville came in at # 125 and UNI at # 103. They also predict conference finishes and they had UE as #5 and UNI # 4. My guess is MSU will come in at # 3 and inside the top 100, and then Drake and Loyola in some order. Interesting that UE is seen as better than SIU and Bradley, although they did tie for 5th last year and have 4 starters back. Newton and Givance are a handful at guard, but I don't see the frontline as much improved , but obviously they were seen as making some strides as #125 isn't shabby.

If Evansville is 125 in the country, it's going to be quite a year for the MVC, as I have a hard time seeing them avoiding Thursday. In fact, I'd probably slot them 9th in the Valley this year preseason.

pretty much invalidates the entire poll if they are that high. No way they are 5th in the league

Not saying I agree, but they were last year and return 4 starters, so I can see an outside observer thinking that.

You have to read the individual team profiles as they get presented, so right now we just have 4th and 5th place. Not sure if they have the lower half picked.

#74 for MSU

I thought they might creep into the high 60's but this is close to my general guess. Both Drake and Loyola should be in the next 20 by my thinking.

Drake comes in listed at #66. They are better than that, but they will have to prove it.
