I believe the clear separation of the top and bottom 5s is real and will be evident the next couple of night.

Absolutely FANTASTIC scheduling by the league. If you have to stick an oddly placed league game in (and that's going to be the norm going forward), protect your better teams from losses later in the season after teams have a chance to figure it out.

If they wanted to protect, you wouldn't have 3 of the top 5 opening on the road early in the year. As far as the Bears, if Sharp is unavailable, I think we struggle at Illinois State; might even if he plays, just haven't been impressed with this team to date. Pieces are there, but just unpredictable.

Better to play on the road this week than in February after a team has a chance to figure it out.

I'm thrilled we're getting the trip to Peoria out of the way, we always seem to have trouble there and we're in a much better place than they are right now.
