MVC going to 12 with UIC and UTA?

Saw this posted by the mod on Saluki Insider. Can't find the actual Tweet, so don't shoot me if their mod is making crap up, but it appears that UIC is almost a lock, and based on posts on the SIU and ILSU message boards it appears that UTA will get in over Murray State. Anyone hearing anything different?

I posted it and the tweet has since been deleted. No clue what’s up with it.

We have good info on UIC the rest is a guess.

I assumed UIC was team 1 when they didn't have to present, but were still in the running.

I can tell you this.

Murray was denied by the MVCF and unless something radically changed they are not getting in on the basketball side either.

The commish has been clamoring about UTA since he got the job. I can not verify they are only doing twelve. The person that told me is usually very correct though.

That being said we are calling UIC and educated guessing team two is UTA

Remember when Matt Brown said Murray to the MVC was done ?

Wanna know why it did not happen ?

Matt Brown never once said this.

That was Matt Jones of KY radio.

As you are the sole source behind "Murray was rejected by the MVFC", here are other things you are the source of:

"Again Barry is not going to coach anywhere he is being prepped to run for governor in Oklahoma."

Matt Brown has been very consistent that his opinion is that Murray State will end up in the Valley but its definitely not a done deal. I believe the only person claiming it was a done deal was a Kentucky sports radio host.

The communication with Arlington started pre-pandemic under Elgin. The presidents want them.

The MVFC thing is completely false. There have of course been discussions but there hasn't been a vote nor will there be until the MVC makes a move.
