Obviously Loyola gets the auto bid, they’re currently a 10 and slated to play perennial Valley First Round opponent Michigan State. Inexplicably this game is to take place in Greenville, but apparently Greenville is a site for both the South and Midwest. Wtf. I feel like Izzo never got over that game in Peoria and he tries to pull strings so he can continue to affirm that “Yes, I’m better than that team…. I mean league”. Lol

Murray is not a State is our other team (welcome y’all) and they’re currently a 9, slated to play 8 Marquette in the Midwest in DFW (which I’m sorry but how the hell are Portland, Greenville, and DFW the “Midwest” sites? The only Midwest site there is Indy).

Belmont is currently the lowest 3 in the NIT

Drake and MoSt are the highest rated 5s

UNI is the lowest 7. Huh.

Rest of the league please do us a favor and don’t play in the postseason. CBI/CIT were cool the first couple years but we’ve got too much dignity as a conference to participate. I know BU has stated NCAA/NIT or bust and I’m okay with that. Also 5/12 (of members for next year) is a pretty dang solid year for the MVC (not trying to take anything from the OVC away too early). Anyone know the last time we had that much representation in the big 2?

Agreed. CIT and CBI are trash tournaments for low major teams. No Valley team should ever play in them.
