CBI- #9 UNC Wilmington vs #1 Drake

Quarterfinal matchup in Daytona Beach, FL. UNCW entered the CBI with a 23-9 record and participates in the CAA. UNCW defeated VMI today 93-78. Now that Murray State is out of the NCAAT, I'm pulling for Drake all the way.

Drake easily beat Purdue-Ft Wayne yesterday, 87-65. The best news is that they were able to rest the starters a lot. Nobody played more than 25 minutes, and Roman Penn was able to rest for more than half the game.

Okay Djamgouz, a rarely used backup wing scored 20 to lead the Bulldogs.

Drake should be more rested than UNCW.

No, this game is on FloSports still but I believe the quarterfinals are the last round of games that are not available on ESPN networks.

No, this game is on FloSports still but I believe the quarterfinals are the last round of games that are not available on ESPN networks.

That is correct. If Drake wins today, they'll be on ESPN2 tomorrow night.

I'm curious if the Drake players actually wanted to play in this tournament. Is it over spring break? There seems to be no one at the games and if I was a Drake player, I'd prefer spring break over a third rate tournament.

From what I've heard, they left it up to the players whether they wanted to play in this tourney, and they voted yes.

Inexcusable to blow a 22 point lead. They were absolutely cruising and then took their foot off the gas. I don't think Drake got a single stop in the last 8-10 minutes.
