IF Mullins loses at home to Chicago State he needs to get on their bus and go back home to Chicago. The natives are getting restless in Carbondale except Dawgbytes on the Saluki board. This being his 4th year and playing a very weak schedule that was designed for him to get his 10,000 bonus for winning 20 games. Hoping he figures out some stuff really soon.

The comment was basically in reference to someone picking Lincoln and Chicago State to win in Carbondale. I didn’t really pay attention that they picked all Valley teams to lose, I am sure that it is in reference to the horrible start to the non conference record for the league as a whole. Back to SIU the home schedule is abysmal no question about it, and yes I may have been a little over dramatic but people are getting worried about the state of SIU basketball. Proof is in the lack of people showing up to the games. I know SIU fans really want Mullins to be successful but he needs to do better in his fourth year. The win at Okie State was great but was followed up with a turd. He still has time to right this ship but the clock is definitely ticking. SIU has played 2 Quad 1 games St Louis is now a Q2 game. The rest of the schedule is bad, maybe not as bad as first projected but still weak, especially the home part. With a new AD and Chancellor thinking Mullins seat is got to get hot next year IF not sooner depending how they do in league play this year, luckily for him the league appears to be way down and SIU SHOULD finish in the top 4. Again I really want Mullins to be successful as most if not all SIU fans do he is a class act.
