According to Trilly Donovan, Texas Tech beat Drake in a scrimmage yesterday, 75-66.

I'm happy to see the 'dogs hanging with a Big 12 team

Jake confirmed that UNI has two 'secret' scrimmages scheduled.

This weekend against North Dakota in Minneapolis and next weekend in Platteville against Wisconsin.

Powell confirmed a scrimmage against Ball State scheduled for next week. Notably Powell will be facing off against Valpo native Mason Jones who is now a Sophomore at Ball State.

Coaches love these scrimmages - makes sense - they can work on a ton of things in a controlled environment. That is also why I don't care two craps about "final scores" we see posted on these scrimmages. Totally irrelevant.

The only reason scores even exist is because the NCAA requires it to count is as a scrimmage because you can't run 'co-practices' by rule.

The Bears reportedly lost in a scrimmage to Texas A&M-Commerce (!!!) 61-51. Against all of my hopes, turns out we probably won't be very good. At least not right away. I do think we'll have a team that will be tough and play their tails off, and there's been several injuries in the early going, so maybe we'll see some improvements as the year goes on.

Commerce will be more like your Conference USA competition, so looks like you will be competitive.
