Saturday's games

Home team in CAPS. Opening lines with trends.

Took it on the chin with Wichita the other night but still have a 9-5 ATS record on our plays. Saturday looks like a nice opportunity for a couple of plays.

MISSOURI STATE (-10.5) vs. Creighton

This game would have set up great had the Bears won at Indiana State. Instead, the Bears may have more focus, but Creighton on the road has been an automatic play. They are 6-1 ATS in true road games and 4-0 ATS in conference road games. Have to stay with that until they give us a reason not to. The Bears are 7-4-2 ATS as a favorite, but 0-1-2 ATS in conference home games. PREDICTION: Missouri State 75-69.

NORTHERN IOWA (-13) vs. Drake

The Panthers are 4-2 ATS in home games, but only 4-6 ATS as favorites. Drake is 2-4 ATS in true road games and 4-7 ATS as an underdog, including 0-5 ATS in their last 5 as a dog. Would like to play Northern but perhaps a letdown after that win in Wichita. No play. PREDICTION: Northern Iowa 64-51.

WICHITA STATE (-10.5) vs. Indiana State

The Sycs have won their last 6 games, and have been must plays at home. They have a recent stretch of road covers which bring them to .500 ATS both on the road and as underdogs. This is a play on the Shox though. After losing ahome to Northern in their last game, the focus should be strong. Despite the loss in the last game, Wichita State remains a strong 8-4 ATS as a favorite. In the games this year after the three previous losses, the Shox won those games by an average of 18 points. Fresh off a loss and Indiana State's win at home against Missouri State, this game sets up perfect to jump back on Wichita State. PREDICTION: Wichita State 76-60.

If Durley plays, load up on WSU. Does anyone know his status?

I am pretty sure he is a no go for Saturday, but he is not out for the season. He bruised a bone in his foot where he had screws put in previously from a injury that occurred about three years ago. This is a very lucky "break" in the sense it was not more serious.
