Katz Bracketbuster Article

selection show is on ESPNU on 1/31 at 5:30CST.

Biggest highlight of the article to me is that of the 11 tv games, he would like to see 5 of them include valley teams.

I'm really hoping the Bears get Old Dominion. I've watched them play several times and am not impressed at all. They have a pretty good RPI and profile and they also beat Notre Dame in the Dance last year but are incredibly beatable. Valpo just doesn't do anything for us. They aren't really that respected with Butler and Cleveland State getting more attention. Homer Drew recruits like his son does...wink,wink so they've got these 35 year old balding European dudes that no one else can get into school. Not very fair, but again beating them really wouldn't impress on the national level.

Getting Austin Peay would be a huge bummer. Hopefully we don't lose between now and Monday.

I would be pretty happy with Cleveland State, we should be able to pack the house for an ESPN game and it's definitely winnable.

Massive bummer. We've already beat down teams the caliber of Austin Peay...that game does zero for us.

I've been kind of worried that we may not got a TV game at all....

Who is actually in charge of selecting the matchups? Is it people at ESPN or is it a coaches poll type of thing?

I know beyond the tv games they try to regionalize everything to try and keep traveling at a minimum, but I would really like a matchup against Nevada soley because they will have to come back to RBA (according to Katz next year are the return games).

Katz certainly has some good connections at some BCS schools, but I wouldn't take anything he says about anything else to heart.
