Wednesday's Games

Lots of play possibilities on Wednesday. Opening lines and trends here. Home team in CAPS.

INDIANA STATE (-9) vs. Evansville

There are endless numbers that say play the Sycamores here. They are 7-2 ATS at home this year, 4-1 ATS in conference home games, and 6-2 ATS as favorites. Wow! Evansville is 3-7 ATS as an underdog, 3-5 ATS in true road games, and 1-3-1 ATS in conference road games. Oh yeah, Indiana State has revenge on their minds as well.
PREDICTION: Indiana State 75-61.

Wichita State (-6.5) @ SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

The Shockers have bit us the last couple of times out but this is a spot to try them again on a small play. They are 4-0 ATS in conference road games and still 8-5 as a favorite. The public will devalue them after a couple of losses without Durley. The Salukis have not been all that strong ATS at home only going 3-6 in that spot. They are 3-7 ATS as underdogs. Small play to the Shockers. PREDICTION: Wichita State 69-60

BRADLEY (-4) vs. Illinois State

This would be a play against Bradley with just about anyone else beside the Redbirds. The Braves are only 1-6 ATS at home, 0-4 ATS in conference home games, and only 1-5 ATS as a favorite. Geez! Illinois State doesn't give us much to play with though. They are 2-3-1 ATS on the road and 3-4 ATS as an underdog. Would like to play against those Bradley trends, but can't do it in this rivalry games. PREDICTION: Bradley 68-64

NORTHERN IOWA (-5) vs. Creighton

The money making machine that is Creighton on the road travels to Northern Iowa. The Bluejays are 7-1 ATS in true road games this year and 5-0 ATS in conference road games. They are also a plus at 6-4 ATS as underdogs. The Panthers have been strong at home, 5-2 ATS, but are only 3-2 ATS in conference home games. They are also only 5-6 ATS as favorites this year. Have to continue riding that Creighton road train.
PREDICTION: Creighton 65-64.

I predict that you have the score right on the Creighton/UNI game. I am not predicting who will end up with 65.

Sorry, none of these games scream "bet me", but that's just me...forced at gun point I'd take the Shockers by more than 6.5 I guess. I'd lay off the rest.

Looks like the Braves might get win #1.

I didn't see a game thread. I looked at the box for the Bradley vs ISU game. It showed Taylor Brown 0-1 fg. Did he play tonight; if so why in the world would he play this late in the year?
Thoughts and prayers to WSU finding a new conference.

Apparently, Bradley led by 8 with just over a minute to go, and Les got T'd up, leading to an ISU rally to tie. He also got T'd up toward the very end of a close loss at Drake.

Nope, he didn't play.

Absolutely crazy game. Birds up with 4 seconds to play in regulation, Bradley inbounds with the entire length of the court to go. Dodie Dunson I believe, takes 3 dribbles and then passes the ball, Bradley is unable to get off a shot! But wait, clock malfunction........ Refs go to the monitor, they determine 2 seconds went off the clock, so Bradley in bounds at the elbow extended. They toss it in to Egolf who turns and misses about a 6 footer! But wait, refs call a foul with :00.5 left. Egolf hits em both. OT.

IN OT, ISU got up by as many as 4, only to see Bradley battle back. Warren hits a couple of Long Treys as the teams went back and forth. Austin Hill gets fouled with :03.1 left. He hits both free throws for the Final margin.

Here's a good play by play perspective: http://blogs.pjstar.com/pressrow/2011/01/26/live-blog-bradley-vs-illinois-state/
