Coaching Changes - Oklahoma w/Marshall reference

Again, I have no idea where this info comes from, so take it for what it's worth;

Early Name at Oklahoma that we believe could be the guy:
Gregg Marshall. Has done a solid job at Wichita State, did a great job at Winthrop. We would say he will be on the short list.

This is a good job...Can attract top-flight talent if martin or double-g leave for that job, I dont think anyone can feel slighted....

I'm not going to start a new thread for this, but will post here since it's the same conference. Reports are that Texas Tech will hire Billy Gillespie which should come as no surprise to those interested.

I don't care if Marshall leaves WSU. My only requirement for replacing him is that fans of other Valley schools must hate him as much or more than Marshall. I'm talking Gene Stephenson, 14-straight Valley titles, kind of hate.

I have never hated Coach Marshall, in fact, the one time I did run into the guy he was a class act, after a loss in 2007-2008...I was at the time working with the athletic department at the game, Ran into him after the game and he was talking about how hospitable terre haute had been and said, "gotta love these hoosiers, great basketball fans." I retorted "You mean Sycamores." He said, "Now can someone explain to me, if you are sycamores are you still hoosiers? It is the Hoosier state. and what is a hoosier anyway?" Guy had a good sense of humor and was just passionate about his team, people may get upset about that but if he was my coach I would love it period.
