I remember watching the Aces-Butler game. I think Denver Holmes hit a big 3 late in the game (or maybe in OT) that seemed to cap it for Evansville. To think that same Butler team is again just one victory away from another Final Four is amazing. I know I'll be rooting for Butler (as well as VCU and Richmond).

Overseeded? How about underseeded. the Horizon league is not the same as it used to be, there are actually some decent teams in there (see missouri st getting whacked in BB at valpo) but more importantly they beat Florida State (sweet sixteen team) along with close loses to duke and xavier that proved they could beat good teams, won 22 games, and won their last 9 coming into the tourney. Sure they had some bad loses but sorry if you watched the tournament you would know they belong. Tell me what 9 or above seed deserved to be in front of them? If you think they are just getting hot at the right time your crazy, Brad Stevens is a great coach and its not like their shooting lights out they shot 42 percent last night. Its amazing a team like Butler who wins with defense and timely shooting is getting called lucky.. again. How many elite eights you want them to make in a row b4 they get a little credit.

The Committee absolutely lost their mind when they seeded Butler (8) ahead of Old Dominion (9)

Wins over the tournament field
ODU: 6
Butler: 1

vs Top 25
ODU: 2-2
Butler: 0-3

vs 26-50
ODU: 4-2
Butler: 3-0

vs 51-100
ODU: 8-1
Butler: 4-3

vs 101-200
ODU: 3-1
Butler: 10-2

vs 201+
ODU: 10-0
Butler: 5-1 (Lost to #295!)

60-58 is the only score you need to know. Hard to argue that ODU deserved to be ranked higher when Butler just beat them. Butler didnt get to amass all the impressive wins because they didnt get to play VCU or George Mason in conference. ODU had a better non conference season ill give you that but its about how they are playing in march not november.

Oh, well in that case I'm sure you believe that UNI deserved the #1 overall seed last year as well?

I am very happy with what my Shockers have done, but once I'd love to have a class of players with the will to win that Butler has. Missouri St. won the league with players that had a will to win but Howard, Mac, and company absolutely refuse to lose.

Butler is my most hated Mid-Major, a mixture of envy and the fact that the best Valley teams beat Butler at home every year, SIU/Drake, but yet they still got more press credit. Either way I would love to see them finish the deal this year. Its time for a Mid to take the grand prize home, even if its not a Valley team.
Thoughts and prayers to WSU finding a new conference.

I like Butler because they play the way Indiana teams play....and by that I mean they over achieve, play tough, and yes, like a previous post here noted, they have a will to win. I think our UE team is much the same in that we have that same sort of blue-collar mentality. We haven't had the level of players as Butler (success breeds success), but next year we should have a better opportunity to be more like Butler because of our recruits and the strong returning core of players. I hope Butler takes it all this year because they are a true "basketball TEAM" - no smug, spoiled, spotlight players - but, instead, a TEAM who fights like heck to win! Maybe the talking heads will finally get over the Big East swooning and give a true TEAM some credit!

In Indiana, fans are basketball crazy. Just drive through the state and you'll see basketball rims nailed to barns, trees, and garages all across the state. We know good basketball when we see it...and frankly, some of us didn't even mind a chair being flung across the floor once in a while :) We know basketball, appreciate the players and teams who play it well, and don't particularly like the showboating and strutting down the court...so, GO, BULLDOGS and, next year, GO, ACES!

Exactly! Wizkid isn't living up to his name.

Butler won a game over ODU at the buzzer on a neutral court AFTER selection sunday. How does that prove anything about either team's resume as a whole?

Should Marquette have been seeded above Xavier?
Should VCU have been seeded above Purdue?
Should Butler have been seeded above Pittsburgh?

Yeah, Butler will not be good this year. Sarcasm ends.

Go Bulldogs!

I have always been on the bandwagon!

I have no idea how they do what they do, but they are damn good doing it. Props to Butler.

Butler is driven to win, I agree, but most teams in the Big Dance are. Butler was lucky to have won that game against Florida though.
