Really? You're surprised that the guy that got caught cheating multiple times, and carries along a lot of baggage and sanctions from the NCAA, is not getting offers?

Who in would hire that guy?

Update to the story from the Washington Post. For comparison sakes, looks like VCU Assistants who were sharing a total of $300,000 will now get $450,000 and supposedly that is a better package than the GMU Assistants. If I got it wrong, tell me:

I am in shock and will admit to being "naeive."

This guy was going to make 700K a year and he was a "God" in the DC metropolitan area and loved by all in college basketball. If Jim Larranaga, one of the most successful so-called mid-major coaches will move, there is no such thing as a so-called mid major "destination job"

You would think "God" could get more than 6,800 disciples to show up at a game. Somehow, I doubt George Mason Basketball makes much of a blip on the DC sports scene.

Havoc, tell me, when did you live in the greater DC metropolitan area or Norhthern Virginia? After you answer my question I will respond to your sarcasm. If you do not answer, than you have answered my question.

Well, if you really want to delve into my personal life, no, I have never lived in DC, but have taken numerous extended trips there over the years and aside from the final four run, can't ever really recalled seeing my George Mason coverage.

Now, how come someone that is a God can't even fill up his gym to 2/3 capacity?

The question is, how many attended games prior to 2006? I don't recall the exact numbers but I think they averaged in the 3000 range.

Royal, thank you. That is my point. Anyone who has lived in the area understand the difficulty of cultivating a fan base, due to the competing professional and college sports teams. A mid-major that was not on the basketball map that draws 6,000 fans in Fairfax, VA, is doing pretty good.

Havoc, I understand.
