Until someone else improves at a pretty significant level, the best player in the conference remains Kyle Weems, and the only one close is McDermott. Now given he's only a sophmore, I could see McDermott being able to advance his game to that level and then add if Creighton is indeed in the top 1-2 teams, he could easily win POY. Anyone else is going to have to improve their overall game by quite a bit because Kyle most likely will once again be in the top 5 in quite a few statistical categories, and unlike many believe, the Bears aren't going to be much off the pace in the conference race.

No, I know it goes against your whole "everyone discriminates against Odum" mantra, but it has not historically been a best scorer award. It has gone to a player on the first place team. Heck, Emmenecker wasn't even the leading scorer on his own team, let a lone the league, yet he won the award one year.

Uhhhhh I was making a generalization...regularly if it's a multi-player race, that's what it comes down to...in fact I don't believe Odum was mentioned in the whole post so maybe you should jut take a chill pill.

Adam Koch won the award and he only averaged something like like 12ppg that year.

I realize you were making a generalization. The problem is, your generalization flat out wrong.

As to Odum, I brought him up because you had said previously that you think he didn't make all conference teams because they are skewed toward the top scorers, which is essentially the EXACT same thing you are now saying about POY.

I agree with AndShock about Kyles, Murry and Stutz. Stutz has shown what he's capable of, he just hasn't put it all together consistantly. But if I had to pick one, Kyles has the most potential and ability of the three and if he'd just play confident he could easily win the award.

I didn't say he deserved "all conference" recognition...first-team was out of consideration after the way he started the conference season...in fact if you look back at my posts I didn't say he SHOULD win the Freshman of the Year, I said at the very least he should be in the conversation which really isn't a crazy thought...I am just saying that regularly if you look at any league that has different players with different styles, you regularly see that it comes down to a pure scorer vs. more of an all-around style...And I DO NOT fall on either side of the argument, I see it on a case by case basis usually...

Back to the subject, if Stutz plays ANYTHING like he did in the NIT, WSU wins the valley and he the POY. That guy was unbelieveable
