What play in the championship game stood out most to you?

It wasn't any one play as much as it was Mallet pretty much single handedly keeping SWOMO in the game and giving them a chance to win.

So am I wrong to assume that by single handedly you mean without the assistance of other teammates.

He was on fire and his teammates knew that. Is the tournament team supposed to be based off of one game and one game only? Leonard and Weems weren't as important that game but the three of them pretty much did it all. Mallet carried in the championship game. But the three of them carried MSU all weekend and stood out. I believe Mallet even had a hell of a game on Saturday. Weems and Leonard were fairly consisten in their performance that weekend as well. But it was a red hot Mallet that shot the crap out of the ball in the 2nd half.

Who do you think should be on the list over these three? You apparently have no issue with Carter and Odum.

I think part of the answer to your original question is that the all-tourney team voting is done before the end of the championship game. I know that was discussed when people were questioning why a player who wasn't on the championship team won the MVP award of the tourney.

I still had no problem with Mallet winning. As I've said before when this was discussed, my friend and I were talking and we thought Mallet deserved it, but if they were going to give it to someone from ISUb, we thought Carter should get it. It's still hard to argue against Mallet.

The question is, who do you think SHOULD have been on other than the three from SWOMO? As DUB pointed out, the voting is done before the end of the game and it really shouldn't matter who won or lost in this instance. Those were the five players who had the best weekend.
