If he continues on that tear, he will 1st Team All-Valley. Book it.

Not even the third best: Odum, Young, Kwadzo were all better

I believe James to be better and his role won't change any other than maybe getting more scoring opportunities as Johnny Moran will slide into the PG role an won't be as much of a shoot-first type of PG as Kwadzo had to be last year.

Besides, James will be a junior and not sure you can count him in the 'young' talent in the league. That should be reserved for freshman and sophomores.

No player in the Valley had a better February than DSE.

Kwadzo was the best PG...hell guard, and maybe even player....in the league last season. To argue any different is just dumb

Seriously?

I liked Kwadzo's game, but he wasn't the best PG, guard or player in the league last year.

Well, let's see.

KA was 6th in the league last year in assists (3.0) - which tends to be important for a PG, no?
He was behind: Young (5.0), Odum (4.1), Ricks (3.9), Simms-Edwards (3.5) and Toure Murry (3.4).

His A/TO ratio (1.4) was 5th behind: Young (2.4), Ricks (2.1), Odum (1.9) and Simms-Edwards (1.5).

UNI had the fourth-best offensive efficiency rating by KenPom behind WSU, MSU and CU

KA was the top scoring PG (14.1), a point ahead of Young (13.1) (who averaged two more assists per game)

I'm comfortable saying Young is a better PG. You could also make a case for Ricks, Odum and Simms-Edwards.

I guess you are right. Ahelegbe was clearly not even a top 5 point guard in the league. It's pretty much a miracle that UNI has won so many games in the last 3 years with such a weakness at PG.

Something can be a strength without being the best in conference...O'rear and the Kochs have been a huge strengths over the past few years.

I never said he wasn't a top five PG, just not the best.

You said he might have been the best player in the league last year, which would be impossible if he's wasn't clearly the best PG -- which he wasn't. I simply put his numbers beside his peers and they happened to be inferior in almost every category.

UNI has won a lot of games during the past four years for a number of reasons, KA included. He's good, but you overstated his ability just a bit.
