I think MVJ's post was a perfectly acceptable "message" to all those MSU fans who fell for the BS and then came here spewing it without any type of credible source or fact. And then you Casey took it a step further and began listing all the reasons why MSU is above anybody here in this conference, which unfortunately is far from the truth.

If you can't handle the backfire, then maybe you shouldn't have set fire in the first place..

UNI is not one scholarship over. Last week a group from the Big East was seen at meetings with high level officials of UNI at the UNIDome. They left a sealed envelope containing, among other things, an official invite for UNI to join the Big East. That envelope is to be opened at the next Board of Regents meeting. Lots of smoke on this one. The Big East gets one more scholarship than the Valley.

I know this is true, I read it on Twitter.

UNI isn't over....

UNI had 5 open schollies, signed 5 on signing day. Later picked up a prep school kid. That gave us 6 schollies with 5 open. There will be someone giving up a schollarship next yer, but staying with the team. It will either be, with my best guess, Austin Pehl (loaded family, in state tuition), Matt Morrision (see Pehl), or maybe (but doubtful) Johnny Moran.

Heard that UNI was plus one on the scholarship matrix and was talking to a friend inside their Sports Information office saying they were going to cut a scholarship player. I assume all incoming players are safe so begs the question who does Ben give the ax too? Will the cut Rank or Moran? What do the UNI fans expect will happen?

I see someone read my post about CO. Can I ask how you came to the wild conclusion that Rank or Moran would be the one's to leave? Although I did hear that Moran was hindering the team by being the lone senior on the team

Yeah....Jake should cut a three year starter, and likely the hardest worker on the team....and a player who played a lot as a true freshman and made great strides as the season went on......

Are we sure about the "giving up a scholarship" thing? Isn't there a rule about once you've taken an official visit you MUST be on an athletic scholarship? I don't profess to know the rules, but having a kid on scholarship, that wasn't a walk on to start with, then giving that one to another player seems really open to potential problems.

I suppose it has to be okay or UNI wouldn't be doing it, but it sounds a little fishy to me.
