Is Jake Odum related to Magic? He looks a little bit like him.

Ummmmm might wanna look up a photo of Magic Johnson. This is NOT Magic Johnson....

I'm glad someone else noticed that too...cmon people, you can't even get your most important alumni right?Haha

What? You guys are messed up. That IS Magic Johnson. Problem is, that's Mateen Cleaves, not Jake Odum. I'm surprised no one caught the error on an MVC board.

The only difference I see is the hair. Otherwise, they could be twins. Odum is definitely going to be the 21st Century reincarnation of Magic Johnson leading the Sycs to the national title game.

I wouldn't say that we will BUT I will say WSU CU and ISUB (like their incoming guys, good secondary scoters to odum) will all be possible options to hit that final four

I hate to be the partypooper, but I'm gonna go with an emphatic NO.

Anyone that would like to place wagers on this, PM me, as I'll give you some pretty good odds as well.

In the next 10 years it's a crapshoot to say yes/no on this. I think every team has the potential to make it that far...except for an SIU team with Lowery running the show :P. I think WSU, CU and UNI all have the talent and coaching to make deep runs in March in the next few years. Next season should be a lot of fun to watch

What great talent does UNI have you list o'rwar last year and limped all the way home. Now take KA away and UNI is got talent? I call it as I see it and UNI is a koch injury short of last place. I don't care who your recruits are they won't float that boat. Jacobson can only slow the game down so much eventually you still have to shoot.

Really? Recruits can't help a team out? Man grillz, you should start telling every coach that recruiting is pointless since it can't help a team out...

UNI incoming class is one of the best the university has ever had and a lot of them will have the chance to get minutes right away. Moran is still there, Anthony James will be one of the MVC's top scorers, Jake Koch actually had better numbers last year than Adam did when he was the MVC poy 2 years ago, Chip Rank, Nate Buss and Chris Olivier will hopefully give us a strong post prescence (and hey Austin Pehl might, MIGHT figure out how to play like a 7 footer, but then again pigs might fly). We don't even know our redshirts yet but we do know that we'll have probably 10+ guys getting decent minutes every game and that depth counts for a lot. Also we have Ben Jacobson calling the shots and that makes us a threat to win ANY game. Yeah a lot of this is speculation but all you're doing is speculating that UNI has no talent which is a far cry from the truth.

Easy there p-state, your new here so you may not remember how the Panthers were going to drop to Thursday with loss of AKoch, Ali and Jordan according to the board. Also, Jake did not have better numbers than Adam had during his POY year, he had better numbers than Adam had as a sophomore, but not Adam's senior senior (when he won). The new recruits look good, but it may take a year for them to learn how to play in Jake's system and get used to the MVC. Of course, after next year, everyone will return except Moran.

And Grillz, don't you worry your head about how UNI will deal with the loss of KA. Heck, there's a lot of posters on here who don't think he was one of the best 5 or 6 guards in the league last year. Can't be that big a loss. And it's not as if UNI lost 4/5 of their starting line-up and coaching staff. I reckon UNI will be better off with an injury to Koch than MSu will be with an injury to Weems. Just calling it as I see it.
