No way we were walking out with a win in that one and the first game we played was pretty close. Jank was also able to take Missouri St. to the limit last year where we lost both games in the final 3min. We of course lose our main scoring threat from last year, but have gained considerable talent. I'm not saying you're wrong, but just saying we have an opportunity this year to turn some heads especially if most valley beat writers vote us in a similar spot. Most redbird fans expect us to be in contention in 2012-13. I just don't see that happening without a better finish than 8th place the prior season. I think there is a lot of pressure on Jank to make some sort of post season tourney this year otherwise he could be in some deep water.
So the highlights for ISUred are losses and adding unproven talent?
Their four conference wins were:
4-pt home win over SIU
1-pt OT win at BU
2-pt home OT win v. Drake
1-point win at BU
ISUred wasn't far away from an 0-fer last season. Unless they added Kevin Durant, eighth place is about as high as any rational person should predict them to finish.
