I seriously had InSU in the top 3 with CU and WSU - I actually thought they would finish 2nd and WSU 3rd.

The reports I'm hearing from summer indicate WSU is probably in better shape than I thought. 10 practices and 5 games are removing some doubts about the newcomers - and WSU is relying on at least 2 newcomers this year. That's always dangerous and i lower my expectations if there's a necessity to rely on newcomers.

Some of the newcomers who aren't required to be productive this year have surprised in a good way, so there's more depth than expected for WSU and more ability to handle injuries.

Plus, when I look at InSU's roster - I see Odum and no names that I remember because of what they've done. Is InSU relying on all new guys in the front court? Another question is how effective will Odum be with Marshall gone.

I'm afraid I've bought into some hype from InSU fans and I've over-rated the Sycs based on that hype and their one-and-done with the Valley's automatic NCAA bid. When I look at InSU's 2011-12 roster, I have to wonder if I shouldn't move UE above InSU.

Aargh, as a non Indiana St. guy, I think they should be the top choice for 3rd with good reason beyond just Odom. By the way Marshall was gone before last year, perhaps you were thinking of Carter. Anyway, they have a strong starting line up with (presumably) Lathan, Richard, and Walker, along with Odom, and I think Printy should help the loss of Carter. PF is a position that seems a little weak still, but their freshman Gant could be a good one. Beyond those guys others would have to develop and step up for them to contend for the top, so in my opinion they are probably a few contributors short of being there this season. But I don't see a better team for the third spot at this time.
