I don't think it should be a given at all that CU will take first. WSU is the one hitting in a lot of the preseason top 40 polls. Personally I think it's a toss up.

I don't think anyone is saying that it is a given that CU is going to win the thing. I take it as people are saying it is most likely going to be the Jays will be PICKED to win the league. I think it is a toss-up and we will see how it plays out, but I think CU will get about 60-65% percent of the first place votes. There is no doubt WSU has the better wings, but I think our advantage at the 4 and 5 spots is probably enough to where we will be the favorite on paper.

I did understand that. I was saying I don't think they should be a heavy favorite in a preseason prediction poll like this.

In comparing the teams I do see your points. But WSU seems quite a bit deeper to me. And they sure finished on a high note. I think if Stutz can play anywhere close to how he did in the NIT then it will be WSU. I like CU's team too though.

I guess this is really a discussion for the next vote. I guess we'll see what happens there.

This may be over simplifying it but Stutz fairs much better out of conf than in conf. Thats the way it's been the first 3 years anyways. Or at least seems to be. I would imagine his top 5 career performances are all out of conf games.

I can think of the Iowa game in KC a few years ago and the Washington State game last year. I know those two would have to be top 5. I think he went for 20 and 8 against Tulsa last year and that certainly was one of his top 5.

Oh he did have a fantastic set of 3 games in the valley tournament 2 years ago. So maybe I'm just talking out my azz.

I think that is very fair. I'm on record of picking WSU first and I'll stick with that. I like their wings and I have some concerns about the number of new guys we are going to have to work into the rotation.

I really believe that we'll be better in 2012-3.
